She was sent down to Transportation to cut their budget and reduce the costs and she has done that like a champ. She has fought against any kind of transit spending, deferred maintenance to the maximum extent possible, and done everything she can to scrap projects. You can see the result -- our transportation infrastructure is in tatters. Carol gets somewhat huffy about people who disagree with her.
